We are burning the planet. Climate volatility is endangering lives and civilization as we know it. In my city/state/country, transportation is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. We need a systems level change in the way people and things have been moving.
In most cases, trains, transit, and bikes are much more energy efficient than individual cars and trucking - it simply requires the will to make it happen.
